Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi represents Srinagar in the 18th Lok Sabha. He was elected three times as MLA from Budgam before that, and he held ministerial charge of Science and Technology and Animal Husbandry in the Jammu and Kashmir government. He now sits on the Parliamentary Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice.
